edition 027 - why bettering your life is the only option, sharing your love, and how to practice the art of doing nothing.
THE PAUSE

it’s all happening
this week’s theme : doing nothing
☺︎ pause breathe in deeply (for 1,2,3), and breathe out audibly. allow your shoulders to lower.
☺︎ journal what could you do right now to fully relax your body?
☺︎ thought i deserve to have a life where i feel fully present at all times
☺︎ habit every morning write down one line about what you are grateful for.
☺︎ retreat plan out a day at home that makes you feel comforted, safe, and as if you’re on a staycation.
☺︎ giving in the next conversation you have, see how much you can listen - and simply offer up the space for them to speak.

a life, better
i had a conversation with my partner yesterday about spirituality and the meaning of life.
we came to the simplest conclusion : life is a challenge, and how we learn and grow from this challenge defines our existence (whether that consists of raising good children or business babies or continuing legacies).
we dove into topics of religion, what comes to us after life, and what is the purpose of being alive as a human being (with thoughts, the ability to plan, the ability to contemplate existence).
there is a truth that we all live by - we don’t know for certain (other than deep faith), of what comes after we pass away. you and i have never experienced it.
yet, we are so acutely aware of our finite time on this planet, and we are blessed get to decide how to live our life in that time.
we get to choose how experience effects us, and what we want to do with our experience.
the most beautiful thing is that as humans, we get to sit + plan out how we want our futures to look, and we get to understand that there is a timeline to do so.
and funny enough - all of our desires are driven by how we want to feel.
do we want to feel powerful, strong, rich, excited, wholesome, loved, free? likely.
do we want to feel lonesome, unaccomplished, lazy, or cold? not likely.
so the adventure of life is about feeling better. taking steps each and every day to become a better version of ourselves - so we can help others and our children to be their best versions of themselves.
and when it comes down to this simple outcome, falling in love with life is of utmost importance.
so choose to love life. to see challenges as learning curves. to view a bad experiences as a good one. to do the thing that creates laughter and joy, rather than the thing that suppresses emotion. to spend time with family you love dearly. to be honest and upfront and share your truth. to smile at anyone and everyone. to allow people to see the real you.

and for this reason this week’s the pause is short and sweet. try to take the time now that you’d be reading this email to settle into nothing.
you can also find another time this week to do exactly that.
something new
♡ something new that we all should take note of is finding deep happiness in the art of doing nothing. bask in your surroundings, in your accomplishments, at your home, with people you love, with your dog, thinking about nothing other than how absolutely brilliant life is.
♡ something right is finding what your true north star is. what makes you driven? what allows you peace? where can you find positivity when you are in a tough spot? take a look at your values and discover your true north. more to come on this + how we are going to cultivate our own life bible, or true north - together.
send this to someone that you were reminded of in this newsletter.
or send it to someone who could use this perspective.
rest until i see you next ♡
