THE PAUSE : get lost
edition 016 - how getting lost helps you get found, why you're welcoming chaos into your life, and diving deeper into what feels calm.

THE PAUSE
small update: as you all know by now, i took a small (delicious) break last week. i went to my fave place (miami) to look at property. it was a rainy-day (ahem, crazy tropical storms) kind of trip that was focused on good chats, business, and delicious food. the best mix in my mind. plus i absolutely adore watching insane thunderstorms - it makes me feel alive.
now, if you weren’t aware before now - i write these emails for you every wednesday. i do them the day of - to make sure i am bringing you the most authentic and in-the-moment downloads in real time. so when a week like last week happens, i allow it to be - and i make sure that i bring my a-game for the following week. so here we go.
my fave band has written and released a new song and it’s beautiful. help me in trying to get them to play at my wedding (lolol) …listen and write a petition with me (kidding but maybe not kidding)….. listen to blanco white’s new song.

☺︎ pause picture your most favourite + calming place you’ve ever visited in your mind. see the water, the trees, hear the wind - smell the fresh air. go there now in a moment with yourself for 2 minutes. have gratitude for that experience.
☺︎ journal question when was the last time i felt complete peace? where was i and who was i with? is there something i can learn from this?
☺︎ thought process only your authenticity attracts your ultimate dream life - a dream life that actually feels good every day.
☺︎ daily habit schedule in 30 minutes a day this week to give yourself a self massage (think hands, feet, calves, arms, temples)
☺︎ wellbeing challenge book a spa apt this week- do it now!!!!
☺︎ summer spritz ask yourself how you can incorporate more summer feeling into your life in the next few months? more picnics, more walks, short lake dips, book a boat with your friends. embrace the magic of this season.

these are some places i’d like to get lost - and stay lost
your own backyard - unplug. and bring gratitude. because this is your home, your place, your sanctuary. wherever you are (on your balcony, in your pool, on your driveway). this is the ultimate to get lost in your thoughts and do it with safety and a humbleness inside.
elora mill - as you know i took a trip here two weeks ago with my sister, to ask her to be my maid of honour and it was absolutely incredible. there was a level of calm and serene energy that i can only believe comes from the beautiful limestone and the waterfall you hear at all hours. i posted a small video about it here
the french riviera - i’m not visiting this year, but goodness am i bringing these vibes into my life. rocky beaches, cliffs, jazz music, aperol spritz and sunshine. if you are visiting - i beg of you to send me pics. but then put your phone away and don’t open it until you’re home.
braestone’s the ktchn - this is a resto in a golf club near where i live that i absolutely adore. i bring my laptop here often because i eat my ceasar salad atop a hill in a calming golf area (which has to be silence) and i adore every second of it. put it on your list.
on any body of water - aka on a boat with the rock of the waves and a warm breeze. yep. yep yep. take me home.

we need to stop choosing to create chaos, and instead create peace.
it is clear, when chaos is comfortable for us (and if it’s what we grew up in) - we continue to invite it into our lives.
instead of embracing the home we’re in, we put a down payment on one we can’t afford. instead of soaking in the successes of work and allowing work to flow to us, we look for ways to get busier and more stressed. instead of embracing the reality we have created in our own backyard, we are searching for ways to make it more exciting and more thrilling with travel and trips and things.
take it from a recovering chaos-seeker : you can find intimate, fulfilling and thrilling joy in nothing. you just need to know how to get comfortable with letting go of needing more.
there have been multiple conversations i have had these past two weeks (with multiple people in the same kind of situation - - vibes!!), where one was seeking out something that they didn’t need on their life, another was juggling next steps that were also not necessary - and they were doing this simply in order to keep moving. next thing, let’s go.
but these choices were not needed, and not necessary at all. it’s a bandaid, or a deep desire to feel like they were needing something exciting/new/fresh. instead of soak in the world they have already created.
my one lesson to these few people: let it go. do less. and allow the right answer + next step to come to you.
when we squeeze the next thing into our life, it never ends up as expected.
when we allow the things to enter our life that are meant for us (yes, this sometimes means waiting), it often turns our to exceed our expectations and blow our life up in the best way.
so - let it go, wait, relax and take rest. because what is meant for you is absolutely coming for you.

repeat to yourself:
i let go of the need to control, and i simply embrace peace
i am worthy of experiencing deep and lasting calm in my body
i choose to focus on this moment, and embrace being safe and whole
think to yourself:
i trust myself deeply that i always make the right choice
i know that everything i deeply desire will work out for me
i believe that my life is being directed in the best possible direction

♡ something new i’m bringing into this summer is i am fully embracing my flaws and my kinks. knowing that i am learning daily, and i will have moments i mess up, and get silly, and get annoying, and get pushy - - that is me - i am simply doing these things to live my best life, right? and i believe that i grow exponentially with every moment and experience i have.
♡ something i invested in this week that i finally got - only for my face - is my theraface red light therapy mask. i actually bought it a month ago and returned it - without trying it - because i felt it was just so expensive ($799). but it kept knocking at my heart to get it and try it and i absolutely adore it. i am using it daily for 6 days now and my complexion has never been better. especially when i wake up in the morning - no more puffy eyes!!!! (and i’ve gotten 2 compliments so far, so it isn’t just me!) get it here
♡ something new i’m seeing results from are my lympatic drainage massages. i’ve been experimenting with going 3 weeks out of 4 weeks in a month and my body is not holding on to water in my tummy area and that is a huge win for me!!!!! as you know, my go to place in the city is sous la (use LINDSAYRICE15) and I love them so much i am even taking my bridesmaids there during my bachelorette. the lymph massage i get is called the RRR body. ya baby - it works.
you guys are seriously the best.
rest until i see you next ♡
