welcome to the first THE PAUSE!!
take a deep breath ♡ you are exactly where you’re meant to be.
this is your new sanctuary. it’s your inspiration to live life alive and with more creation than ever.

welcome!! here are some housekeeping notes for our first ever edition 𐬺
the pause. what is the pause? it is the quiet moments we give ourselves to listen in. it is the stilling of our minds - where you can hear what you’re needing, expressing, and creating.
the club. the members of this club (you!) have the mindset of bettering life every step of the way - and there’s no stopping us. self care + living consciously is our jam.
the purpose. the purpose of this email in your inbox is to get you to feel that ‘ahhhhhhhh’, sit-back-in-the-chair, pull out a comforting coffee or tea, and find rest kind of feeling. feel free to set that intention.
the mantra. creating > consuming. TCR members seek to create more than we consume. creation is writing, doodling, original thinking, producing new ideas, giving ourselves space to grow, etc.
the one ask. get yourself a journal or notebook. use it while reading these emails and get your story going. record your creative nuggets. this sketchbook is my personal fave because it allows me enough space to write and doodle, without boundary.

*i will ask you to do the pause first, and continue on with the remainder of the happenings.

✈︎ this past week i was in Miami Beach (my favourite place in the entire world). i brought a book (which i really enjoyed), my journal, and i had great daily chats - but i made sure i had no time commitments.
the intention of not doing anything allowed me to really rest. no worries, no to-do’s, no stresses. it was a gift, because this rest thing doesn’t come to me easily (being an a-type personality). i reminded myself daily, ‘you’re ok to not do a thing, Lindsay’ - and pure creation emerged.
this is actually how we’re here today. i put this newsletter off for a long time - 3 years to be exact - and i found you guys in this stillness from last week. TRC was waiting to be created in the quiet.
♾ if we rewind to the first time i ‘paused’ intentionally, we would go back 5 years. it was the pandemic, and i was coming out of a 5 year competitive car racing career. i intentionally scheduled two days for going inward. no interruptions, work on hold, do not disturb on, and i found what i would now call my inner adventure - my inner retreat. it was beautifully wild.
instead of struggle, i found ease. instead of judgement, i found peace. i was embracing all the aspects of myself with no fear; only acceptance in the moment i had. it was ground-shakingly moving. the ideas that came from it, the healing, the clarity.. it was all very real. it shifted my conscious thoughts about who i truly was, and got me clear on what i deeply wanted to bring to this world: more wellness.
that was my first ever eye-opening moment; the fact that we really don’t need to try so hard. this pause and this stillness gave me the right (my true/authentic) answers so clearly. it gave me knowledge.
♾ it has come to my attention that it is time to slow down, to stop consuming as much junk as we do, and focus on what supports our health and wellbeing; pausing.
cue: The Reign Club.
i’m really excited for what’s next, and how i am incorporating more stillness and presence into my days. it settles my mind, my body.. and there is this drive in me that desires this authentic guidance from within myself daily - and i know i can access it. and for this, i have so much gratitude for the pause.
the paid section of this newsletter is a helpful resource that will further guide you into your creative + healthy space.
as a premium subscription holder, this edition we’re getting into:
the journal series: discovering your values, setting intentions + finding your why
the wellness report: the science-backed deets on how chronic pain is rooted in emotion

♡ something new i’m trying that grounded me cosmetic acupuncture is - how did i go without you for so long? ! i have never felt so grounded in my life (even though i had multiple needles sticking out of my face). it glued me to the chair and didn’t allow me to move a muscle - and it was so relaxing. cosmetic acupuncture targets areas of concern (sagging, tense muscles) on the face - - but did you also know that there are points on the feet that brighten your eyes? or points on your hands that clear complexion?? and even areas on your shoulders that will increase circulation to lift sagging skin…. wild wild wild. sending you here if you’re in toronto + want this treatment. use lindsayrice15 for 15% off ♡
rest until i see you next ♡
