THE PAUSE : your expression is your biggest impact
edition 002 - for cultivating more expression and resonance
THE PAUSE

yesterday i had my first singing lessons ever.
as soon as i got on video and said hello to my new teacher, she explained to me that it is normal to start singing and have motions comes up - and that i should expect it. crying, rising temperatures, emotional outbursts, etc - this was all normal to experience.
she explained that when you start to practice singing, you begin to resonate with a different frequency of your voice/your expression. this is what triggers these symptoms. it is because you’re essentially tapping into areas of expression that have never been tapped into before, or that are stale/stagnant.
woah. singing as a way to allow physical and mental release? that’s new.
and it’s also really flipping cool. and, of course, i am clinging to the idea that this is a modality to shift old energy out of our bodies to continue bettering our health and mindset..
it is also such a tell-tale sign of the fact that our expression is extremely important. it’s a way for us to process and release, as well as create something new (possibly music) for the world to be inspired by.
this leads me into this week’s happenings..

☺︎ pause press play on this song and do nothing else while you listen
☺︎ journal question what is the biggest expression of me, that i want to leave behind when i’m gone? what are the ideas i have wanted to create + bring into my life, that i haven’t yet? write it down in silent practice.
☺︎ thought process almost all animals on this planet spend their time being more than doing
☺︎ daily habit hum when you are alone
☺︎ wellbeing challenge happy music only this week
journal question, continued : think of the impact your creations have on people. how many people can it help? how many people might is resonate with?

one of our members told me after the last issue that the previous email came at the exact time they needed it.
i felt into that.. and thought : ‘this is the why’.
there is an appropriate time for all things to happen in this life. things will resonate - and create that whooosh ‘got-it’ feeling - and other times, well - we skim over details we’re not quite ready for yet.
the incredible thing is, when things are meant to be heard by you, they will hit right when you need it. whoosh.
for a long time i couldn’t figure out my purpose in the world. what was the feeling i wanted to leave people i loved with? driving race cars wasn’t it - managing properties wasn’t it - and guess what - the answer came to me in my own quiet (preach!).
after i had guided a few clients of mine, i found that the silence and comfortability i brought to them in our time together was the game changer. it was the allowing them to slow down their thoughts and stop talking, without judgement that brought the gold.
when i allowed the container of quiet, and i asked my people to look within - they seemed to always find something new.
they found that feeling of divine timing - it was the exact thing at the exact time they needed. whether it was something they needed to hear, feel, or understand more deeply. whoooooosh.

♡ something new i’m trying that shifted me this past week. i had an intense apt with my coach. she found and old belief that i was still clinging to, which had been there for a long time. we spoke about it, and began to dive into it. i felt my body get hot and sweaty (woah) and she encouraged me to get up and move my body. i jumped, i flicked my hands - and let the stress and the ickiness of the feeling leave my body - i went from edgy to immediately calm. the movement was what helped me to regain my balance. shake shake shaaaake señora, shake your body right. (beetlejuice beetlejuice)
rest until i see you next ♡
